Designed as part of an Urban Design Skills class project. This project envisioned the reuse of driving lanes for a linear park. The vision is one where Binney Street Connector Park bridges East Cambridge and the new development in Kendall Square, creating a multiuse path focused on greenery in the west, but eventually gives way to showcasing innovation and ending in a sunny plaza a block away from the Charles River. The park maintains the existing truck route along Binney Street, but strategically uses one lane for the path. Several small programmed spaces, including a space for a mobile library and a plaza along First Street provide points for gathering.
