Elizabeth Haney
Elizabeth Haney is a dynamic and continuously evolving professional with more than a decade of experience in affordable housing, urban planning, nonprofit and public sector technology. She maintains a strong passion for harnessing innovative solutions to catalyze positive transformations within the public sector, with specialized expertise in Salesforce technology, affordable housing, and community land trusts.
She was recently the Data Project Manager at Housing Navigator Massachusetts, Inc., where she led a talented team responsible for curating a comprehensive database and search tool for affordable rental housing across Massachusetts. Her role involved collaboration with property managers, community organizations, and development project managers to ensure accurate data collection and provide essential user support. Elizabeth also spearheaded data analysis and reporting, uusing PostgreSQL, Excel, and R.
Prior to her role at Housing Navigator, Elizabeth was a Community Planner at Barrett Planning Group. In this capacity, she contributed to feasibility and site analysis projects, using skills in concept development, stakeholder engagement, design research, and data analysis. She served as project manager among multidisciplinary teams, clients, and consultants. Elizabeth's notable projects included multiple site planning projects, which showcased her skills in strategic planning and community engagement.
Elizabeth's journey also led her to Provisio Partners, where she thrived as a Consultant. In this role, she demonstrated her proficiency as a business analyst and project manager, guiding cross-functional teams through complex customer relationship management (CRM) projects. Her expertise extended to data migration, data cleaning, and Salesforce configuration, bolstered by her ability to extract valuable insights using Tableau.
As a Project Manager at the Planning Office for Urban Affairs, Elizabeth oversaw multifaceted initiatives aimed at advancing affordable housing and urban development. Her work included managing all aspects of complex projects, from inception to financing, construction, and lease-up, as well as fostering crucial relationships with government agencies, financing entities, and community stakeholders.
Elizabeth was the product manager and senior support specialist for the HomeKeeper app, a project of a Cornerstone Partnership and Grounded Solutions Network. for five years working nationally with community land trusts and other shared equity home-ownership programs. She recently served as a Research Assistant at MassINC where she researched both zoning incentives and commuter rail fare policy related to transformative transit oriented development in Massachusetts. She previously worked on the Cambridge Housing Authority’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Plan and with MassDevelopment’s Transformative Development Initiative. She also served as a Homebuyer Outreach Assistant at SHARE Community Land Trust as a Jesuit Volunteer.
She has a Bachelors degree from Boston College and a Masters of City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
